PANDORA

I've been listening to Pandora radio lately.
I figured people might be interested in this, because my class is really into music.
go to pandora.com
all you have to do is type in your favorite artist or song, and it will create a complete playlist or "radio station" with similar music.
If you like a song that shows up on the playlist, you can give it a thumbs up, and if you dislike a song you can give it a thumbs down and it will never be heard of again.
Pandora chooses the songs in a really interesting and particular way.

here is an example of the way it works:
I typed in Animal Collective, and created a station.
One of the songs chosen by Pandora for that station, was "Lion Land" by Quinn Walker.
Why was this song chosen?
"Based on what you've told us so far, we're playing this track because it features basic rock structures, the use of experimental sounds, a subtle use of vocal harmony, major key tonality and a vocal-centric aesthetic."

I love Pandora! check it out.

SHUTTER SPEED!

shutter speed controls how long the shutter stays open.
a fast shutter speed may be used to capture something that is moving.
the downside of using a faster shutter speed is that the film may be under exposed.
a slower shutter speed may be used in a space with lower lighting.
the downside of using a slower shutter speed is that you must hold the camera really still in order to take a clear picture and you may need a tripod.

I UNDERSTAND SHUTTER SPEED!
YAY!!!!!
